QLD:Brisbane residents prepare for flooding
BRISBANE, Jan 10 AAP - Brisbane residents are being offered sandbags and warned to
prepare for flash flooding as the capital gets a taste of Queensland's flood emergency.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts heavy rain across the city on Monday morning, with
localised flooding possible in low-lying areas where the ground is already saturated from
weeks of steady falls.
Brisbane City Council on Monday morning advised residents in flood-prone areas that
sandbags were available at depots around the city.
