NSW: Chikarovski shrugs off Coles pro Labor remarks
SYDNEY, Feb 9 AAP - New South Wales opposition leader Kerry Chikarovski today shrugged off
claims Sydney Games organisers wanted the ALP to retain government in NSW for the sake of the
2000 Olympics.
Mrs Chikarovski branded as naive International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Phil Coles'
statement it would "obviously" be better for the Games if the Carr government was re-elected.
"It would be the preference of everyone organising the Games," Mr Coles told the ABC's Four
Corners program last night.
